Garnet Kindervater brings more than three decades of home building experience to the Canadian housing industry and has earned an excellent reputation among his clients and peers. From a major renovation of both traditional homes and historic properties to new panelized home construction, Garnet remains on the leading edge of Canadian timber frame home construction technology.
In addition, Garnet has been involved in International markets for many years as part of CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) International Training Team providing training on Canada's timber frame construction technology in China, Ireland, the USA, Iceland and the United Kingdom. He has also served as Project Manager for projects in Lithuania and Iceland.
A multi Award winning builder/renovator, Garnet has held senior positions with the CHBA (Canadian Home Builders' Association) at both the National and Provincial levels. In addition to being an active builder, Garnet worked with the College of the North Atlantic to develop and deliver training in Canadian home building techniques for Eastern European workers. This included management of an energy retrofit project in Lithuania in 1997. He is also involved with the Atlantic Home Builder Training Board and has served as an industry trainer from 1991 to 2007.
