Awards
Garnet Kindervater has been the winner of many awards over the years including the following:
- 2007 - Prestigious Beaver Award which is the CHBA'a (Canadian Home Builders' Association) highest recognition for a builder/renovator nationally.
- 2005 - Recipient of CHBA's Gordon S. Shipp Award in recognition of outstanding contribution to the Residential Construction industry at the national level.
- 2005 - Recipient of two CHBA-EN Berg Awards for Renovation Projects under $25,000 and over $25,000.
- 2003 - CHBA's Canadian Renovators Council Award.
- 1999 - CHBA Eastern Nfld's Builder of The Year.
- 1998 - CHBA's National Sam Award in the Home Renovation category over $100,000.
- 1991 & 1998 - Eastern Nfld. Home Builders Association's Renovator of the year & Member of The Year.
- 1990 - Eastern Nfld. Home Builders Association's Member of The Year.
- 1990 & 1991 - Lundrigan Comstock Ltd.'s Award for Nfld. Renovator of the Year in NL.
Industry Volunteer Work
Garnet has volunteered his time to the home construction industry in Canada as follows:
- 1999 to present - Member of CMHC's (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) International Training Team.
- 2005 - CHBA's National Conference Host Chair in St. John's, NL.
- 2001 to present - Member of CHBA's National Conference Planning Committee.
- 1999 - CHBA representative on the CMHC Canadian Housing Advisory Council.
- 1999 - President of the CHBA.
- 1994 - 2001 - CHNB Executive Board Member; CHBA Economic Research Committee; Canadian Renovations Council; National Education and Training Advisory Committee.
- 1992 - President of NL Home Builders Association.
- 1991 - President of the Eastern Nfld. Home Builders Association.
